Reese: 8 Months Old

Reese has gotten pretty good at rolling over - from front to back and from back to front.  Even though we put her to bed on her back, we always find her sleeping on her stomach:  apparently her new favorite sleeping position.

Reese is still most content just sitting and playing with toys while carefully observing everything going on around her.  She often entertains herself for 10...15+ minutes on the floor.  

Reese has started holding up her arms when she wants to be picked up, but often she is just looking for your fingers so that she can pull herself up to a standing position:

Reese went swimming in a real pool for the first time and seemed to have no trouble kicking back and relaxing:

Shortly after this picture was taken, half of her face became swollen and red (her left eye was swollen shut) - an allergic reaction to something.  I don't think it was to sunscreen, which she has worn before (and since).  Chlorine?  Who knows.  But, it may be a little while before we venture back into a chlorinated pool.
