A few days after Reese turned 11 months old, she took her first steps. Now, just one week shy of her first birthday, Reese prefers walking over crawling (unless she is in a rush...then she crawls).
One of the first places that Reese decided to walk to, was the stairs. I decided to watch her (without her knowing) to see how far she would go. She made it up 4 stairs before stopping.

We currently don't have a gate at the bottom of the stairs - because we can't find one that works with our banisters (don't worry, we have one at the top of the stairs!). After numerous times of telling Reese not to go up the stairs, this is the look she flashed me right before she tried one more time...

Flashback to Colden (also at 11 months old) giving me a similar look before attempting to squeeze through the banister:

Aside from trying to walk to the stairs, Reese loves to walk while holding something. A few of her favorites are her doll (which she calls, "baby"):

...her spork (yes, one of her favorite toys is a fork+spoon=spork)...not pictured here...
...and a phone. If she can get her hands on it.

The funniest thing is, she will put the phone up to her ear and say "hi"
(with no one on the other end)

When she's not walking around, she loves snuggling with her big bear (and her spork!) :-)
