Fall Fun

Fall means: apple picking and pumpkin picking fun!

Apple Picking

We went to a local orchard to pick apples.  Colden and Mike had a very efficient system worked out.  For the apples that were higher up in the tree, Mike climbed the ladder....

...while Colden waited patiently at the bottom for the "hand off"...

...Colden filled the bag with apples...

...and then proceeded to eat all of the apples that we had just picked...

For the lower apples, Colden would pick them himself...

...and would again, eat all of the apples that we had just picked...

The wagon ride brought us back to the check-out counter at the orchard, where we did manage to buy a few apples that Colden did not consume along the way.

Pumpkin Picking

We visited one of the many local pumpkin patches to pick pumpkins.

(I think this picture is hilarious - both boys have the same smug look on their face.
Like father, like son)

Of course, Colden had to test out the wheelbarrow to make sure it was going to be suitable to carry the pumpkins.  It was.

We met up with Colden's best friend from school.  The two boys talk about each other all of the time!  It's cute to see them together.  Speaking of together, the boys are inseparable!

We had a great time!
(I wonder how many more family pictures we will have with just the 3 of us!)
