Nebulizer

Poor Colden came down with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus).  He started exhibiting the symptoms of a normal cold: runny nose, cough and red cheeks.  He's had colds before.  What got me nervous was that he was wheezing.  He's never wheezed before.

We took him to the doctor, who promptly put Colden on a nebulizer.  We had to put him on the nebulizer every 4 hours for 48 hours and then ween him off over the course of 10 days.  Nebulizer every 4 hours, then 6 hours, then 8 hours, then 12 hours...

Let's just say that Colden was not always a fan of having a mask over his face for 10 minutes at a time.  (There are no pictures of him during the times when he fought the nebulizer because it became a 2 person job - 1 person to restrain him, and the other to hold the mask on).

Nighttime was much easier.

He slept through the treatments.

And believe it or not, there were times when he actually had "fun":

Look at the smile beaming from underneath the mask.

What a trooper!
