Sibling Class

The hospital where I will be delivering at offered a free sibling class, so we thought...why not?

It was really cute.  Everyone was asked to bring a baby-doll from home.
The kids (ranging in age from 2.5 to 5 years old), learned how to diaper the baby...

...and swaddle the baby...

...and hold the baby...

(This is going to be Colden after a long night of staying up with a crying baby.  I know how you feel, Colden!)

Then the teacher read books to the kids about what it's going to be like with a new baby in the house:

(Notice Colden loving up on his baby during story time.  It was so cute!)

Then we got to take a tour of the maternity ward so that the kids could see where mommy was going to be staying and where the little babies in the nursery would be

(Colden leading the parade down the hallway to the maternity ward.  Still holding his swaddled baby)

Colden is going to be an AWESOME big brother!  Now, Mike and I can only hope that he remembers the skills (diapering, swaddling and holding) that he learned in today's sibling class so that we can put him to work when we need a break!  :-)
